Crystal Morphis is Founder and CEO of Creative Economic Development Consultingan entrepreneurial, innovative firm with a unique commitment to give back to the field of economic development. The firm provides strategic planning, product development, impact analysis, and organizational development services. It owns four proprietary programs unique in the field of economic development. It is the “go-to” consulting firm for economic development organizations. 

 

Crystal was a local economic developer in Surry County, NC before serving ten years as a managing partner in a consulting firm. She founded Creative EDC in 2012.  The firm has a pay-it-forward philosophy - give away one consulting project a year through the Creative Give Back, sponsor a Women’s Economic Development Network, and support a mentor network.  

 

Crystal has a Bachelor of Arts, major in economics, from Salem College and a Master of Science, major in economics, from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte. Crystal is a Certified Economic Developer (CEcD), regular instructor at the IEDC-accredited Basic Economic Development Courses at UNC-Chapel Hill and Georgia Tech, a licensed real estate broker, and a LEED Green Associate. She has published articles in IEDC’s Economic Development Journal and Community Development
