Join peers from across our state for NCEDA's 2024 Annual Conference! This family-friendly event will include outstanding networking opportunities, exceptional cuisine, fun optional activities and updates on key economic development topics  - all along the beautiful Cape Fear River!

The conference planning committee is developing a strong agenda that will feature the latest insight from respected leaders in government, business, and education. Join us to learn more and build important relationships that bring real value to our lives and our work.

CONFERENCE DETAILS

All conference functions will be held at the Hotel Ballast with the exception of some of the optional activities. Optional activities have a separate registration fee and are detailed under 'Additional Items'. Tabletop exhibits are available, and you can reserve a table by selecting the Exhibitor option under 'Additional Items'.

Please note the schedule below for planning purposes. The full agenda will be posted later in May. Attire for the full conference is resort casual.

LODGING DETAILS

NCEDA has three lodging options - a block at Hotel Ballast, which is our base hotel, and two overflow blocks at the Aloft and the Coastline Inn (both of these are within walking distance to Ballast). Note that the conference begins on Tuesday afternoon with the optional networking activities and ends on Thursday at 12:30 pm. The nights of Tuesday, June 25 and Wednesday, June 26 are the only nights you will need. We do have a handful of rooms available in all blocks for the night of Monday, June 24 for anyone who would like to arrive early. See block details below:

Hotel Ballast (Hilton)

  • Dates Available: Nights of June 25 and 26 (A few rooms are available for June 24 for anyone wanting to come in early – be sure to change your check-in day to June 25 if you are not coming in early! The reservation page automatically has Monday, June 24 as the check-in day.)
  • Rate: $184++ per night, city view / $209++ per night, river view ($20 parking fee)
  • Cutoff Date: May 23, 2024 (while the official cut-off date isn’t until 5/23/24, this block will fill up very quickly!)

Aloft (Marriott)

  • Location: 501 Nutt Street, Wilmington

Best Western Plus Coastline Inn

  • Location: 503 Nutt Street, Wilmington

Emerging Executives Member Registration: $500 ($400 early bird rate valid through June 14)

Spouse / Guest Registration: $175 (includes Tuesday and Wednesday evening receptions and breakfast Wednesday and Thursday mornings)

Children are welcome at the evening functions. We encourage you to bring your entire family! If you have a child aged 21 or over attending, they should be registered using the Spouse/Guest option.

EARLY BIRD PRICING AND CANCELLATION POLICY

Registrations submitted by Friday, June 14 are eligible for the early bird registration rate, a $100 savings. NCEDA member and non-member rates increase $100 if submitted after Friday, June 14.

Refunds can be made (minus a $25 processing fee), if cancellations are received by Friday, June 14 at 5 pm. For cancellations, please call 888.246.2332 or email liz@nceda.org. No refunds will be granted after June 14.
