Join peers from across our state for NCEDA's 2024 Annual Conference! This family-friendly event will include outstanding networking opportunities, exceptional cuisine, fun optional activities and updates on key economic development topics  - all along the beautiful Cape Fear River!

The conference planning committee is developing a strong agenda that will feature the latest insight from respected leaders in government, business, and education. The agenda will be posted soon, and will feature segments focusing on NC's Megasite and Selectsite Initiatives, Innovative Marketing Trends, How Technology is Changing Site Selection, and more! Join us to learn more and build important relationships that bring real value to our lives and our work.

CONFERENCE DETAILS

All conference functions will be held at the Hotel Ballast with the exception of some of the optional activities. Optional activities have a separate registration fee and are detailed under 'Additional Items'. Tabletop exhibits are available, and you can reserve a table by selecting the Exhibitor option under 'Additional Items'.

NCEDA had a block at the Ballast and several overflow blocks at other downtown area hotels. However, the deadline for all blocks has passed. If you would like to be added to the Ballast wait list or need help finding a reservation, please contact Liz.

GENERAL REGISTRATION OPTIONS

Member Registration: $695 ($595 early bird rate valid through June 14)

Emerging Executives Member Registration: $500 ($400 early bird rate valid through June 14)

Retiree Member Registration: $500 ($400 early bird rate valid through June 14)

Emeritus Member Registration: $175

Student Member Registration: $25

Non-Member Registration: $1,025 ($925 early bird rate valid through June 14)

Spouse / Guest Registration: $175 (includes Tuesday and Wednesday evening receptions and breakfast Wednesday and Thursday mornings)

Child Registration (ages 6-20): $50 (includes Tuesday and Wednesday evening receptions and breakfast Wednesday and Thursday mornings)

Child Registration (ages 5 and under): Complimentary

Children are welcome at the evening functions. We encourage you to bring your entire family! If you have a child aged 21 or over attending, they should be registered using the Spouse/Guest option.

  • Kayaking Waterway Tour: $50 (1:30 - 3:30 pm)

  • Sunset Cruise: $75 (7:30 - 9 pm; includes light hors d'oeuvres)

Wednesday, June 26 Activities:

  • NCEDA Fun Run: Complimentary (6 - 7 am)
  • NC Wilmington Ports Tour: Complimentary (1:30 - 3:30 pm)
  • Cornhole Tournament: $25 (2 - 4 pm; proceeds benefit Susan G. Komen)
  • Battleship North Carolina Guided Tour: $30 (2 - 3:30 pm)
  • Historic Downtown Wilmington Walking Tour: Complimentary (2:30 - 4 pm)

Thursday, June 27 Activities:

  • Yoga: Complimentary (6 - 7 am)

EARLY BIRD PRICING AND CANCELLATION POLICY

Registrations submitted by Friday, June 14 are eligible for the early bird registration rate, a $100 savings. NCEDA member and non-member rates increase $100 if submitted after Friday, June 14.

Refunds can be made (minus a $25 processing fee), if cancellations are received by Friday, June 14 at 5 pm. For cancellations, please call 888.246.2332 or email liz@nceda.org. No refunds will be granted after June 14.
