EVENT OVERVIEW
In shaping the policies and programs that drive North Carolina’s economic success, legislators depend on insights from economic developers working on the front lines every day. Be a part of that conversation by joining NCEDA’s 2026 Legislative Day and making your voice heard at the General Assembly.
The day will kick off at 7:30 AM with breakfast and a briefing in the Legislative Cafeteria, offering a valuable opportunity to connect with legislators and their staff.
Following breakfast, participants are encouraged to meet with their lawmakers throughout the day to discuss key issues impacting economic development.
We’re also excited to welcome Chris Skibinski, Managing Director of Avison Young, as our keynote speaker. With 35 years of experience and more than $1.2 billion in successfully negotiated industrial real estate transactions, Chris brings a wealth of knowledge across manufacturing, R&D, logistics, and complex development projects - offering valuable perspective on the trends shaping our industry.
To round out the experience, NCEDA will host an evening reception on Tuesday, May 12 for Legislative Day attendees, providing another great opportunity to network and connect. Additional details will be shared with registrants as the date approaches.
