Event Details

Join us November 16 for the final installment of our Supply Chain Professional Development Series with a luncheon in Wilmington, followed by a tour of the NC Ports. Dana Magliola, Freight & Logistics Program Manager with the NC Department of Transportation, will share his final Supply Chain presentation, and we'll also have plenty of time for networking!

North Carolina’s supply chain offers competitive advantages for recruiting industry and commerce as well as growing businesses across our state. From advanced manufacturing and multimodal transportation to working capital and inventory, an understanding of supply chains can help economic development professionals highlight regional assets and capabilities to business audiences. Dana will focus on the following topics for his luncheon presentation:

  • Beyond Manufacturing: Agriculture, Energy, Finance
  • North Carolina, Supply Chain Powerhouse: Organizations + Resources for Supply Chain Development
  • eCommerce Revolution + The Post-COVID Marketplace
  • The Future: Change Agents in the Supply Chain

The luncheon will be held from Noon - 1:30 pm, and the NC Ports Tour will follow from 2:30 - 4 pm. Please select the NC Ports Tour under "Additional Items" if you are also able to participate in that segment so we can have an accurate headcount. Attendees will drive individually from Hotel Ballast to the Ports, and NCEDA has coordinated group transportation at the Ports for the tour.
